Two years, 92 municipalities, and 340 kilometres of fibre-optic cable – those are the key data of a unique project in which the Cochem-Zell district in Rhineland-Palatinate, five municipality associations, and companies are taking part. The objective of this public-private partnership is to provide all of the towns in the district with high-speed Internet access. Whether it’s a home office, e-government, or telemedicine, companies, local authorities, and citizens are benefiting from the development, in keeping with the slogan “broadband for all.”
