For many young Berliners who live in troubled neighborhoods, spending time in New York is only a pipedream. But thanks to the “BronxBerlinConnection” exchange program initiated by Gangway e. V., Berlin teenagers can travel across the ocean and improve their social and language skills. The unique aspect is that they plan their trip together with partners from the Bronx. Before their stints abroad, the young people exchange information about their cities on the Internet or organize a tour of their home district for the guests.
