Eleven partners, six locations, one network – that is CITYFÖRSTER, or “city forester”, a team of architects, urban planners, and designers. Their credo: like a forest, a city thrives on the diversity of its inhabitants and places. Urban developers therefore have to keep their eye on the whole. In the design of public spaces and urban living situations, CITYFÖRSTER seeks interdisciplinary exchange. The designs reflect this: according to the principle of “more with less” – achieving more with less effort – they consider social, cultural, and aesthetic aspects and rely on a manner of building that conserves energy and resources.
