Individualized climate
Scientists research how rooms can be air-conditioned using as little energy as possible
Feelix is a puppet whose skin is heated up with heating wires. With his help, scientists are investigating the influence of the indoor climate on the human body in the climate lab of Bauhaus University in Weimar. Does its back get cold, its face too warm? Measuring devices record the temperature, moisture, and air currents. The researchers' aim is to air-condition living and work rooms as efficiently as possible while ensuring comfort at the same time. And in the future, people should have the possibility of creating their own comfortable climate - very individually for anyone in the room.
