Stay up to date with video chats, share family photos, and facilitate early detection of dangerous situations with sensors. The German-Danish research project Demantec, funded by Interreg and with the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences as a lead partner, investigates how technical assistance systems can increase quality of life for dementia patients, and improve and facilitate their care. Ten partners from the research, industry and care sectors jointly field test new technologies that benefit the people affected as well as their relatives and the nursing-home staff – an interdisciplinary approach across national borders.
