Smartphone, tablet, monitor - life today is chock full of screens. But most of them are connected rigidly to one source of information. Scientists at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) provide for more flexibility with new software. With it, displays of different sizes and resolutions can be linked via standard networks and used by many devices. Hence completely new kinds of design and control are possible, from giant screen walls to combinations of several computer displays at a conference.
