Every industry boasts expertise. But truly ground-breaking innovations are often the result of cross-disciplinary cooperation. ELSA is proof. The regional initiative brings bioscientists and engineers from companies in the Stuttgart and Neckar-Alb region to one table. Together they think about, say, how medical laboratory procedures can be carried out less expensively thanks to new automated procedures. Today, 100 companies share their know-how in the network. They are motivated by the fact that if an innovation is successful, both sides benefit. The project is boosting the region's economic power.
