More than 400 members and 2,000 partners in Emsland, the county of Bentheim, and East Frisia have created the “Ems-Achse Growth Region” to attract employees. Companies, chambers, and municipalities are involved, as are job centres and universities. Seven service centres help potential candidates to find a flat, a day-care spot, or a job for their partner. Recruiter initiatives, job busses, and counselling for business start-ups are further examples of a number of measures with which the Ems-Achse region intends to secure the future of the rural business location.
