“entersocial” regional development programme
A helping hand for creative minds
An agency helps committed people to make advancements in their village
Many villages in Brandenburg are shrinking. The region development programme “entersocial” of Social Impact GmbH seeks to counter this development. It trains so-called “village carers” – people who motivate others to develop new ideas and perspectives for their home region. Additionally, the programme enables people to start their own businesses or develop touristic offers in the country. It has been a smashing success. In Alkünkendorf, an information centre devoted to the nearby Grumsin birch forest – a World Natural Heritage area – was opened; residents of Klockow revitalised the village centre; and a new city-country solidarity group was established in Flieth-Stegellitz.
