EPICSAVE emergency training
Saving life in 3D
Virtual training in their education will prepare emergency paramedics for deployment in the future T
When small children suffer an emergency shock, every minute counts. But hardly any emergency paramedics experience this situation in training. Yet in serious cases experience can save lives. Under the direction of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, a disciplinary consortium consisting of doctors, educational experts, and computer specialists have developed a virtual training program. With EPICSAVE, future emergency paramedics can learn to deal with rare emergency situations in their education. Technologies such as virtual reality enable the paramedics to run through the treatment in advance. The practical training in the virtual world is closely intertwined with theoretical learning content.
