Two cities that are divided by a river and a national border yet are growing together increasingly: Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice are strengthening their locations through cooperation and joint projects. In the "model city for European unification," children attend bilingual kindergartens and take part in school projects. Viadrina University in Frankfurt and Adam Mickiewicz University in Slubice are planning to establish a joint faculty. The two cities are not only partnering in education, but also in business, infrastructure, administration, and location marketing - from connecting district heating networks to the introduction of a uniform touristic umbrella brand.
