A different kind of English lesson. Rather than brooding over books and dictionaries, German pupils join forces with partner schools and experts in the USA to implement local projects on global environmental topics. They not only develop an app for looking for local food or shoot videos about how to make eco cosmetics yourself. In addition, they develop a comprehensive vocabulary they wouldn't learn in normal English classes. Sustainability is no longer a foreign word for them and media expertise and intercultural work are no longer alien concepts.
