On account of limited resources and rising energy costs sustainable management of hospitals is becoming more and more important. The challenge: to harmonize ecological, economic, and qualitative goals. The Siemens programme Green+ Hospitals analyses all areas of a hospital, strikes a balance between ecological and economical interests, and considers the precise requirements of the individual health facilities. Three pillars are at the centre of the programme: reducing consumption of all kinds of resources, using environmentally compatible products, and optimizing processes.
