They lie dormant in their thousands in the local museums of small towns: cultural treasures and works of art from a wide range of eras – a heritage well worth discovering. The Saxony Anhalt Art Foundation grant sheds light on the works from the archives. Photographers, painters and jewellery artists have the opportunity to spend a year in eight museums and develop their own art ideas on site. This project not only creates new perspectives for artists, but also inspires visitors to look at their local heritage museum through completely different eyes.
