Industry 4.0 – a network leads to greater productivity
Industry 4.0 in practical tests
In a factory, integrated digitisation is being tested and employees are being made fit for the digital switchover
Everyone's talking about Industry 4.0, but Bosch is taking decisive action. Its Blaichach/Immenstadt plant is playing a pioneering role. The goal is to interlink the entire manufacturing. The conversion, which began in 2013, is in full swing. The plant based in the Allgäu region of Bavaria and the associated international manufacturing association for ABS/ESP brake control systems have already shown remarkable productivity increases. Bosch attaches great importance to making not only the machines but also people fit for work in the networked factory. In education and further training courses, some 3,000 employees are learning how the new technologies can help them in production planning and logistics.
