INTAKT – interactive microimplants
High tech promotes healing
A network of industry, science, and hospitals is developing new interactive microimplants
Paraplegia is connected with grave impairments of motor skills. In the future, those affected will be able to move paralyzed arms or hands again thanks to modern technologies, namely, a new generation of interactive microimplants researched by the innovation cluster INTAKT. The technology is also to be used in other areas, including tinnitus therapy and digestive disorders. Doctors and patients should be able to communicate with the implants via safe interfaces and so the treatment can be geared to current needs.
