Intelligent lifts
Smart Elevator: the Internet of lifts
Lifts send data to the Cloud providing clues about a possible need for maintenance at an early stage
More and more people live in big cities. And the emerging megacities cannot do without high-rise buildings. So lifts are becoming ever more important. And they have to work reliably. ThyssenKrupp intends to send its functional data to the Cloud for analysis in real time. Instead of reacting to a disturbance as has been the case so far, service technicians can be proactive. As a result, breakdowns can be avoided and resources used more efficiently. The monitoring system developed by ThyssenKrupp in conjunction with Microsoft and CGI is to be presented in the second half of 2015.
