At the International StreetArt Festival, the city of Wilhelmshaven becomes a haven for artists. Passers-by can watch artists paint masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa as well as their own creations on the pavement. The highlight is a three-dimensional picture that has become a permanent fixture at the festival: in 2012 artists painted a 1,570 square metre 3D work, setting a world record for size. The urban exhibition is open to all residents and visitors to the city, who can mingle and make contact with others via art.
