They came to the German Federal State of Hesse from Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan without their families. Young refugees make their first friends in Germany with youth from their new home. As interns, the migrants gather their first professional experiences in recreation centres. They teach their German companions to play the drums or to cook dishes from their home country. To reciprocate, the scouts invite them on canoe trips and to parties. The result: a community of young people from different backgrounds.
