No disco, no meeting place, no possibilities to be active – in many rural regions there are not enough free-time offers for children and youth. But they need space to gather new experiences and feel at home in the municipality. An association called “Innovative Social Work” gives it to them in cooperation with 14 municipalities and the administrative office in the Bamberg district. Whether it’s a football tournament, a holiday programme, or volunteer commitment – with its programme JAM supports young people as they grow up and at the same time helps them identify with their home region.
