Equal educational opportunity for all? It doesn't exist. Still today, social status determines success at school. The Knowledge Workshop Saarbrücken intends to change this situation. In free courses, children and young people of various origins learn about mathematics, computer science, the natural sciences, and technology. And they do so in a very practical way. In manual tasks and experiments, they experience and grasp technical phenomena, discover hidden talent, and perhaps even discover an interesting profession in which there is a shortage of experts. The initiative promotes integration and, in the long run, the economy.
