Koblenz learns – voluntary activities for schools

Tutoring in exchange for job experience

Students teach socially disadvantaged people and children who have fled their home countries free of charge and in return acquire work experience

The idea behind "Koblenz learns" is simple yet ingenious. Students help disadvantaged pupils and refugee children free of charge in school classes and after school in different kinds of projects. In return, they receive credits for their studies as well as discounts at stores. But the practical experience they gain is priceless. And since their promotion of the children takes place right in classes, the students' volunteer work additionally benefits the schools, which can offset their shortage of teachers to a certain extent. The concept is successful because everyone works together - the association. schools, universities companies, and the city of Koblenz.
