Many older people can never go to a concert or exhibition – simply because they don’t have enough money. KULTURISTENHOCH2 wants to change that. The project enables seniors who are financially or physically disabled to attend cultural events free of charge. They are accompanied by student volunteers (aged 16 and over) from their neighbourhood. The cultural tandem has great benefits: it enables older people to participate in society, fosters a social mindset among young people, establishes contact between the generations, and thus strengthens social cohesion in the city.
