When all the horses stay out on the pasture in the summertime, the stable of the Haus Berghoff hotel in Sundern, Sauerland, is given a new lease of life: between loudspeakers and bales of hay a stage is set up on which stars perform, including the pianist and Echo Prize winner Alexander Krichel and actor August Diehl with the band Hands up - Excitement!. With the festival, which was first held in 2013, the organizers, which apart from the hotel, include The Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Public Library in Sundern, in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the city of Sundern, have not only closed a gap in the cultural offer. They are also attracting tourists to the country and raising awareness of the region.
