Artificial flower makers, linen weavers, toy makers: Since 2010, the manufactory based in Meissen has had an online shop and since 2011 a shop for products made by small traditional producers in rural regions. The founder, Ute Czeschka, bundled marketing and sales for more than 50 German crafts companies on the platform. In this way, she is helping prevent traditional handicrafts expertise and thus a cultural asset from being forgotten. The company organizes regional events such as a Christmas manufactory market. Some of the businesses have entered into a network, forming buying groups or presenting their goods together at trade fairs.
