Hundreds of millions of people in Africa live without power connections - a massive obstacle to economic development. Africa GreenTec intends to remedy the situation with the help of mobile solar power plants. The highlight: they consist of freight containers in which batteries and solar modules are installed. Thus they are so compact that they are easy to transport and can be put up almost anywhere. This offers even sub-Saharan regions the perspective of clean, sustainable electricity - and economic development. For each solar container delivers enough energy to meet the needs of 5,000 people or even small businesses day and night.
