Mobile rescuer – smart phone-based first-aid system
When every second counts
Via an app the emergency call centre alarms voluntary first-aid workers and guides them to the site of the accident
Rescue services are fast, but sometimes even rescue workers come too late. When someone has had a heart attack, every second counts. The earlier they are resuscitated, the greater the chances of survival. With this in mind, an emergency doctor got the idea of developing the ‘Mobile Rescuer app’. Volunteers who have experience in first aid, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, can register to use it. If an emergency call request is sent, they are located via their smartphone, alarmed, and guided to the site of the accident. As a result, the time before the ambulance comes is used effectively and lives can be saved.
