A sensor controls the water level of their skin and sends the values online to the attending physicians. If the levels rise, this a sign of insufficient cardiac output, and in cases of doubt intervention is required. With telemonitoring technology, people who live in rural regions don’t have to be brought to faraway hospitals but can stay at home.
