The free app moovel brings together local public transport, the car-sharing provider car2go, mytaxi, rental bicycles, and German Rail in one application. The user is always shown the best connection from point A to point B – transparently, with no biases, and in a user-friendly way. In addition to booking the connection they want, the app, launched in 2012, also enables people to pay directly for it. The tickets are provided in the app and can be called up on- and offline. In this manner, the user has his transport connection always ready on his smartphone. Furthermore, moovel gives citizens orientation in city traffic, thus helping simplify mobility in urban spaces. In order to allow its users access to an urban mobility network from everywhere and at any time, moovel also extends its mobility offers to messenger services.
