Whether stainless steel or non-ferrous metal: 3D metal printing has become an indispensable part of industrial production. However, the process is complex and expensive – and is therefore usually out of the question for smaller companies. The AIM3D multi-material 3D printer helps by overcoming material limitations. The new process of the start-up of the same name enables manufacturers for the first time to produce almost all metals, ceramics and plastics with one device. Since it uses printing materials in granular form and is cheaper than previous 3D metal printers, the AIM3D helps to reduce costs in additive production – for example in the small-series production of e-vehicles.
