Multi mechanisms adaption for the future Internet (MAKI)
Tomorrow's Internet is ready for anything
Researchers are investigating how communications systems can adapt themselves to changed conditions independently
What will the Internet be like in the future? What digital means of communication will be added? One thing is certain: user behaviour, devices, and the related challenges will change. A special research department at the Technical University Darmstadt is working on multi-mechanism adaptation for the future Internet. Communications systems are to be designed so that different technical channels are combined and can adapt independently to changed conditions. This prevents telecommunications networks from being overloaded when large numbers of people gather.
