My dad is coming - free accommodation for people from broken homes
A bed for daddy
Free overnight lodging makes it easier for separated parents to visit their children in faraway cities
Many children from broken homes in Germany live hundreds of miles away from one of their parents - often the father, who commutes to see his child. But not all parents can afford a hotel room on top of the travel costs. Flechtwerk 2+1 gives fathers and mothers who are separated from their children the opportunity to see their kids nevertheless. The social enterprise organises free accommodation with guest families and temporary so-called children's rooms. In kindergarten rooms that are vacant on weekends parents and children can play, run around, and catch up on what has been missing: intimacy.
