Visitors to the Staatliches Museum Schwerin learn how people with mental or psychological disabilities perceive works of art. Ahead of Culture Night 2017, museum educators and educational staff from capito Mecklenburg-Vorpommern trained interested people with a disability to become cultural guides in workshops over a period of six months. 130 visitors took part in the twelve guided tours on Culture Night. Further dates are already planned. An idea that demonstrates how inclusion can succeed in the cultural sector – for more cultural participation and for the benefit of all.
