Microscopic analyses for anyone anywhere - that is the vision of Oculyze. And this is to become reality thanks to an attachable microscope for smartphones and a Cloud-based image analysis service the start-up has developed. With these features microscopic pictures can be taken and analysed in seconds, without expensive laboratory equipment or special knowledge. This opens up many fields of usage. For example, there is already an app that enables small breweries to analyse yeast quickly and inexpensively. Further applications including an app that recognises malaria and one that monitors wastewater are in the works.
