A behind-the-scenes look at an orchestra rehearsal is made possible by the OHRPHON audioguide offered by Musikfestspiele Sanssouci und Nikolaisaal Potsdam. The one-sided headphones make it possible to hear the music, as well as a presenter who is also in the auditorium and commenting on what is happening. So listeners not only enjoy the music, but also learn interesting facts about the work and the orchestra. To date, Potsdam has been the only city where audiences can attend OHRPHON rehearsals. Now orchestras in four other Brandenburg cities are joining forces to open their rehearsals to the public – and build a bridge for introducing a wider audience to classical music.
