Whether it’s Mozart in a baroque palace or music theatre at a school – in Western Pomerania the volunteer organization OPERNALE is sparking the enthusiasm of people of all ages and classes for culture. The aim is to enable them to identify with the region’s cultural history, to promote local artists, and to give all people who live in the country access to cultural offers. The OPERNALE has been held every summer since 2011, and in 2014 it went on tour, making stops at historic estate and garden houses in rural areas. In accompanying children’s projects, professional artists infect the youngest people in the region with the cultural fever.
