PriMakom – teacher training in a network
Help for math whizzes
In an Open Science project, teachers and scientists work together on modern forms of teaching
For Germany to have an edge in technology, it needs young people who know how to work with numbers. Researchers at the Technical University Dortmund want to show teachers how to kindle their students' enthusiasm for mathematics at an early age. The Open Science project PriMakom (primary level math compact) offers further education courses and modern materials such an animated explanatory videos. The objective is to integrate current scientific knowledge better in class. Via an online platform, teachers can form networks with each other and work together on new ways of training their students to be number jugglers.
