In places with less foreigners the prejudices are often bigger. To counter the dissemination of extreme right-wing ideas in rural regions, people need to combat hatred. the RAA – Regional Centre for Democratic Culture West Mecklenburg, together with foundations, the State Centre for Political Education Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the Germany-wide school network Schools without Racism - Schools with Courage, and other local partners show how this can be done. It offers advisory services to municipalities and civic initiatives that have to struggle with right-wing extremist offences. Moreover, in training courses teachers learn how they can promote peaceful coexistence at schools and kindergartens.
