Refugees cook for homeless people
The way to people's hearts is through their stomach
Together with volunteers and companies, refugees cook their own recipes for homeless people
Cooking unites. When people peel potatoes together, they often strike up a conversation. The association Bremer Suppenengel is taking advantage of this principle and bringing refugees, volunteers, and employees of regional companies together at one stove. The companies not only send workers, but also sponsor the ingredients. The colourfully mixed teams meet in temporary housing and cook together using recipes from the refugees' countries of origin. The food they prepare is subsequently distributed to homeless people. This not only fills people's stomachs, but also dispels prejudices and social conflicts.
