Regional future funds – cooperatives for energy efficiency
Energy efficiency here we come!
Energy-efficiency cooperatives enable cities and rural districts to conserve energy and thus benefit the environment
It’s important to bank on green energies. But is that enough? No, says the German Environmental Management Association (B.A.U.M.), which is focusing on conserving energy in cities and districts. The idea: regional energy efficiency cooperatives collect private money and use it to implement local energy-efficiency projects for companies, municipal facilities, or private households. The concept promotes green business growth in the region, creates new jobs, cuts energy costs, and reduces CO” emissions. And it is giving wings to the energy turnaround in the region.
