RETHINK – case studies for modern agriculture
European farmers examined
A large-scale study brings European scientists together at one table – for more sustainability in agriculture
What strategies make rural regions in Europe safer from crises? What can German farmers learn from Swedish, Spanish, or Irish farmers? Scientists at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main are venturing a look outside of the box with RETHINK. Together with project partners from other European countries, they are researching how modern farming can be made more sustainable in the future. Based on 14 best-practice examples, the researchers are tracking down possible agricultural trends. The results of the international comparative study will be directly incorporated into EU funding programmes.
