The automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler has developed the Schaeffler OriginCheck app which enables customers, retailers and authorities to quickly and easily check the authenticity of roller bearings. Users scan the data matrix code on the product and packaging and check it against the database. The app combats product piracy, and improves protection against counterfeit and potentially harmful products – for the common good.
