School Cloud
Learning with the Data Cloud
With Cloud technology digital media and learning offers are to become a fixed component of school classes
The computer room with antiquated computers is a thing of the past. The future should belong to the Cloud conceived by the Hasso Plattner Institute in which Web-based teaching materials across schools and subjects are stored centrally. Pupils and teachers have access to them anywhere and at any time. Instead of expensive and high-maintenance hard- and software, in the future schools will only need Internet access and WLAN, and pupils use smartphones and tablets already. The School Cloud is currently being tested at 25 schools. In the long term, it should help drive the digital switchover.
