With the help of digital technology dealers can link online and offline shopping – for a completely new shopping experience
It sounds like something for the future but it’s already reality: a display window at which customers can browse through the range of products via a touchscreen even after the shop is closed and then shop with their smartphone. Or a changing room in which buyers receive additional information about the piece of clothing they just tried on or can post pictures of themselves directly on Facebook. These are just a few of the innovative service concepts that computers scientists at the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen have developed with the ssoci Group. Their aim is to use online commerce functions to make shopping in stores an experience again.
