Silicon Saxony – the Saxon microelectronics and ICT network
From the microchip to the big picture
An association is networking the Saxon ICT industry and lobbying for high-tech solutions
The state-of-the-art components developed by microelectronics manufacturers in Saxony are only a few millimetres long. Many small, medium-sized, and large companies in the German state are working on new, still minor solutions, including high-performance microchips and sensors. Silicon Saxony e. V. not only networks companies with other companies but also with international scientists and leading politicians. Since its inception in 2000, the network has expanded to include many areas of expertise such as smart systems and software solutions. More than 320 members are benefitting from the lively exchange and are making Saxony a high-tech region.
