Standardized communication with the M2M Teledesk
Communication between harvesters
Agricultural equipment used on farms and in fields is coordinated via a central platform by mobile radio
It’s harvest time, and the forage harvester flings cut corn silage into the trailer until its full. But where is the next transfer vehicle? To avoid costly waiting periods, in the future agricultural machinery will be coordinated via radio or mobile phone networks. The manufacturer VIVAI from Dortmund has developed an IT solution for machine-to-machine communication with the university of applied sciences there and the machinery manufacture CLAAS based in Harsewinkel. When updating the machine’s software or documenting the harvest, the software portal promotes smooth processes and cuts costs for agriculture.
