Virtual reality experiments - digital physics lessons
Experiencing modern physics interactively
A digital school laboratory shows how e-learning can help pupils learn physics
High voltage and extremely sensitive measurements in the classroom? The project Virtual Reality Experiments of the University of Mainz simulates sophisticated experiments in a virtual physics room. The software interlinks boards, tablets, and other digital classroom media. Pupils can now conduct experiments that previously were too dangerous, expensive, or time-consuming. The intuitive operation is in line with young people's digital lives and enables them to immerse themselves in the virtual world of physics. As in real life, they can press buttons with their fingers and turn control knobs.
