More and more companies no longer have a central computer on which they manage their data, but hire flexible, virtual research centres. Those who additionally want to do something good for the environment are now greener in the digital world thanks to the offer of the start-up Windcloud. The research centre in northern Germany exclusively uses regenerative energies - for example from the local wind park. When there is not a fresh breeze, the start-up resorts to electricity from biogas facilities or a memory battery, thus ensuring a secure energy supply. It is a forward-looking project that combines sustainability and digitisation in a new way.
