"AGYLE program will be an amazing opportunity for all of us (young leaders participating in it) to enhance and increase our knowdge and learning about green sector and the climate change internationally and its implication on the economy growth, to take back our learnings in order to share it with our communities, to build an important network composed by young leaders from African and European countries (mainly operating in climate), to learn from each others‘ experiences, to acquire new skills and strategies that can servce our working career, and to talk about effective green solutions that can tackle climate change and build resilance of our local communities."
Afef Ajengui is the program officer of GreenWorks Program of Hivos Foundation. Before that she worked as the program manager of the Tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship, the Legacy International Professional Fellow 2019, and Cogite. Throughout her professional career, she acquired an expertise in project design and budget planning, project management, reporting and research, event management and trainings, community building, and national & international networking in the social and green industries.
Since 2015, Afef highly contributed to supporting Tunisian entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs. She managed and supervised projects in Macro, Meso, and Micro levels. She participated in ensuring dialogues between public and private Tunisian institutions, and building capacities of the public institutions, private organizations, NGOs, media, etc. Afef succeeded in building national and international networks and she is highly active and well-connected to the African, Middle Eastern, European, and American entrepreneurial ecosystems. Afef has acquired knowledge and expertise in the entrepreneurial, NGOs, and civil society sectors.
