Samrawit Yohannes Yoseph has more than ten years of experience in urban design, city planning, and architecture. An expert in these fields, she has extensive experience working with multilateral organizations such as UN-Habitat and the African Development Bank's Cities Program. Currently, she serves as an officer at UN-Habitat. Samrawit holds a master's degree in Human Settlements and Urbanism as well as a master's degree in Strategic Planning from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. She is passionate about creating sustainable and well-designed cities and is an advocate for nature-based solutions as well as circular economy, climate change adaptation, and mitigation. Fascinated by urban management, she is eager to learn about innovative ideas and understand the latest systems for working on and implementing urban projects, both large and small.
